Born in Mayaguez, PR and now working as a commercial litigator in Boston, I went to high school at Trinity Christian Academy in Johnston, RI and graduated from Roger Williams University both for undergrad and for law school. As a commercial litigator, I handle a broad spectrum of commercial litigation matters including business transactions, civil fraud, insurance recovery, and bankruptcy disputes. My responsibilities have included drafting pleadings, conducting pre-trial discovery, preparing witnesses for depositions, writing successful motions and appellate briefs, and delivering winning oral arguments in court.

I also have a deep commitment to pro bono work, where I have defended against evictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, assisted formerly incarcerated individuals with record sealing to improve their access to education and housing, and aided undocumented minors in seeking asylum and special immigrant juvenile status.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, CT, I pursued my education at St. Joseph High School and the University of Rhode Island. My legal career began in 2015 at the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office, and has since led to diverse roles across the legal field. I have worked as a corporate legal intern at Subway Corporate Headquarters, served in the Air Force JAG Corps in New Jersey, and clerked at the Rhode Island Supreme Court under the Honorable Justice Francis X. Flaherty. Additionally, I represented clients at the Roger Williams School of Law Criminal Defense Clinic and post-graduation I assisted military veterans with disability benefits claims at a nationally recognized law firm specializing in Veterans Law.

I am now a junior partner at Lider, Fogarty & Ribeiro, P.C. in Fall River, MA, where I handle, among other things, removal cases in immigration court. My ongoing commitment to aiding undocumented immigrants reflects my passion for leveraging my legal expertise to advocate for marginalized communities, and I bring that same passion and commitment to helping the next wave of attorneys on their path to becoming JD’s!
